This yeast spread is a quick, aromatic Czech classic made in a frying pan. Onion softens in butter, crumbled yeast goes in next and beaten eggs finish it off. Serve it on toasted bread or fresh bread.
Peel the onion, chop it finely and let it soften in a little butter.
Add the crumbled yeast and fry, stirring, until it darkens and starts to smell aromatic.
Season the spread with salt and pepper and pour in the beaten eggs. Stir until they thicken, and if the mixture is too thick, thin it with milk.
