Everyone knows egg liqueur, and everyone tweaks it in their own way. This recipe comes from a good friend of mine and every year before Christmas I make it “as a duty” for my colleagues, because they love it so much.
Put the egg yolks into a mixer together with the vanilla sugar and icing sugar and beat for about 10 minutes. Switch off for a moment and then beat again for another 10 minutes.
Once beaten, add the Salko and keep beating. The longer you beat it, the smoother the egg liqueur will be.
Once the yolks are beaten with the sugar and Salko, pour in the rum little by little and beat for about 7 minutes.
Store the Christmas egg liqueur in a cool place and serve it as the occasion arises.
You can use the egg liqueur to fill Christmas “wasp nests” (vosí hnízda) or as a filling for cognac cones (koňakové špičky).
