Braised red cabbage is one of the most traditional Czech side dishes, served for generations with roast goose, duck or pork. Easy to make from everyday ingredients and full of flavour, it has a firm place on both festive and Sunday tables. Its typical colour comes from a reaction to the acidic environment during cooking.
