Košíčky Izidor are crisp little pastries with a rich nut filling that will delight any sweet tooth. The dough is made from flour, fat, sugar, cocoa and nuts, left to rest in the fridge and then pressed into small moulds. After baking, the cups are filled with redcurrant jam and a rum-flavoured nut mixture, decorated with chocolate cream and finally dipped in chocolate.
Prepare the dough: Mix all the dough ingredients and knead into a smooth dough. Wrap it in cling film and leave to rest in the fridge.
Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 170 °C.
Shape the cups: Break off pieces of dough, roll them into balls and press each ball into a small cup mould. Do not grease the moulds.
Bake the cups: Arrange the moulds with dough on a baking tray and place in the oven preheated to 170 °C. Bake for about 12–15 minutes, until the cups turn golden and the dough separates from the mould. After baking, leave them to cool briefly and carefully turn them out.
Make the filling: Prepare the filling by mixing the nuts with the sugar and rum. Do not skimp on the rum.
Fill the cups: Put a little redcurrant jam and a small ball of nut filling into the baked and cooled cups.
Decorate with cream: Pipe the chocolate cream onto the filling using a piping bag with a decorative nozzle.
Set and dip: Leave to set and dip in chocolate.
