Moist Poppy Seed Cake
Makovník, often called makovec, is a moist and tender cake made from a simple cup-measured batter. Its rich poppy seed flavour is complemented by grated apple, lemon zest and cinnamon. Bake it until golden and, once cool, dust with icing sugar or drizzle with lemon glaze.
