Perník (Czech Gingerbread Cake)
A homemade gingerbread cake that turns out well every time. The batter comes together from plain and all-purpose flour, sugar, cocoa and gingerbread baking powder, with eggs, oil, milk and jam stirred in. Once baked, it can be spread with shop-bought chocolate or lemon icing.
