Cabbage is one of the most common and most frequently used vegetables in our country. Preparing the heads can be very quick if you know how. The work will then go quickly, and you can easily prepare a larger number of heads. We use the same method for heads of kale.
Slice the cabbage into thin strips and the onion into half-moons. Salt the cabbage, rub it well so it softens, and leave it to stand for a while.
Add the onion and the peppers with their brine to the cabbage. You do not have to use the whole jar; to taste, 3/4 of the jar is enough.
Finally, adjust the seasoning. The brine is already seasoned, so add salt, sugar or vinegar as desired. Add just a few drops of oil at the end.
