Making a smoothie always follows the same principle – simply blend the ingredients you have chosen with water, milk, yoghurt or just a few ice cubes. The real secret of a good smoothie lies in the choice of ingredients, and that goes double for a vegetable one. Roman Paulus shows how to turn just a few simple ingredients into an excellent smoothie. This vegetable version with tomatoes, pepper, cucumber, garlic and basil is one of the healthier options, as it contains less sugar than a fruit smoothie.
Wash everything thoroughly and clean the pepper and tomatoes. Cut the vegetables into smaller pieces and put them into a blender together with the remaining ingredients. Blend until smooth, taste and season as needed.
Serve with perfectly toasted bruschetta.
