These flatbreads can be served as a savoury bread, but they also work well as a side dish with meat. The yeast dough is left to rise, and the recipe makes up to 6 flatbreads.
Mix the yeast with the sugar, add a little flour and water and leave the starter to rise. Salt the flour, add the starter and work into a dough with lukewarm water. Knead the dough well and leave it to rise for about one hour. After rising, shape the dough into up to 6 flatbreads.
Bake the flatbreads on a baking tray in a preheated hot oven. A similar version of the recipe is called Arabic bread.
