Christmas baking doesn't have to be complicated – these slices are made from ordinary lemonade and the result will pleasantly surprise you. Once baked, simply pour over a cocoa and rum icing and cut them into smaller pieces. Any lemonade will work.
In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar and oil, then add the flour with the baking powder and any lemonade. Mix everything carefully until you have a smooth dough.
Pour the dough onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in an oven preheated to 180 °C.
While the cake is still warm, pour over the icing, which we make from butter, icing sugar, cocoa and rum. Beat the icing and spread it over the hot cake. Leave the Christmas lemonade slices to cool. Alternatively, cut the slices into pieces first and pour the icing over them afterwards.
Once set, serve the Christmas lemonade slices on the Christmas table.
