A quark sheet cake with a grid of quark filling that resembles a quilted blanket. The base is moist thanks to the milk and oil, and the filling gives it a delicate vanilla flavour. Grease the tray with butter and dust it with coarse flour, or use baking paper. Bake at 170 °C and test with a skewer.
Preparing the dough: Mix all the dough ingredients and pour into a baking tray greased with butter and dusted with coarse flour, or line it with baking paper. For a fluffier base, you can also whisk the eggs with the sugar and then gradually add the remaining ingredients.
Preparing the filling: Mix all the filling ingredients together, pour into a piping bag and pipe quark lines over the dough to make a grid.
Baking: Place the tray in an oven preheated to about 170 °C and bake for 35–40 minutes. Test with a skewer to see if it is done.
