Holubce po ukrajinsku (Ukrainian Stuffed Cabbage Rolls)
Holubce, or stuffed cabbage rolls, are a favourite of Ukrainian home cooking. We blanch a head of cabbage, fill the leaves with rice, minced meat and fried onion with carrot, then simmer the rolls in tomato purée. Serve them with mushroom sauce or simply with cream.
