Lemon marmalade is a fresh, tangy treat that combines the sweet and sour flavours of ripe lemons. Simply clean the lemons, slice them and let them stand until the next day. With the gelling agent, the marmalade sets quickly and is soon ready in jars.
Wash the lemons thoroughly and scrub them clean in lukewarm water.
Cut them into thin slices and leave them until the next day.
The next day, pour water over the lemon slices, add the sugar and blend with a hand blender.
Bring the blended lemon mixture to the boil and cook for about 10 minutes. Add the Dr. Oetker 2:1 gelling agent mixed with a tablespoon of sugar.
Do a saucer test, and if the marmalade holds its shape, pour it into preserving jars.
Turn the jars upside down for about 5 minutes. Then turn them back, cover with a damp cloth and leave to cool.
