Aromatic minced meat braised with fresh mushrooms, red pepper and sweet ground paprika will win over anyone who loves hearty food. Bacon with onion and garlic gives the base a full flavour, while tomato purée adds a pleasant sweet-and-sour note. Serve the finished dish with pasta, garlic fried bread or potatoes.
Clean the mushrooms, chop them and boil them briefly in a pot of water, then drain them. Finely chop the bacon and fry it in a tablespoon of oil with the finely chopped onion until golden. Towards the end of frying, briefly fry the grated garlic as well. Add the minced meat to the onion base and fry until the water evaporates, then add the chopped red pepper, the ground paprika and the tomato puree and fry for a little longer. Add the sugar, salt, pepper and the pre-cooked mushrooms and pour in a glass of water.
Simmer for about 25-30 minutes, adding a little water if needed, and adjust the seasoning to taste - you can also use soy sauce, stock powder and similar. There is no need to thicken it with flour. Serve with pasta, garlic fried bread, toast or potatoes.
