Kočičák may sound like a misleading name, but behind it lies a hearty potato dish. Boiled potatoes are mashed with a piece of butter and stewed sauerkraut, which gives them a pleasantly tangy flavour. Everything is then combined with onion fried until darker and with the fat from the pan. Leave the finished kočičák to rest briefly and serve it as a substantial side dish.
