A hearty goulash soup where sweet paprika, fragrant marjoram and soft salami meet tender potatoes. The base is onion fried golden in lard, which gives the soup its full flavour. Even a beginner can manage this recipe, and a warm dinner is on the table within an hour.
Peel the onion and chop it into small cubes. Fry it in the lard, add the ground red paprika and the salami cut into cubes and fry everything briefly. Pour in 2 litres of stock.
Peel the potatoes, rinse them, cut them into pieces and add them to the soup. Season with salt and pepper and cook until the potatoes are soft. Finally, flavour the soup with marjoram.
If you would like a thicker soup, you can thicken it with roux, for example.
