Method

01.

Mix the minced beef lightly with the spring onions, Worcestershire sauce and pepper. Shape into four balls and flatten them slightly into patties. Do not press the meat while mixing and shaping so that it stays airy and juicy. Cover the burgers with foil and leave them in the cold for a while.

02.

Cut the potatoes into 1cm slices and then into even chips. Cover them with cold water and leave them to soak for 30 minutes so that the starch is released. Then drain and dry them. Spread them on a baking tray lined with baking paper, drizzle with oil and bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C for 15–20 minutes until golden, turn them once and only salt them after baking. Stir and warm the jam with the barbecue sauce.

03.

Preheat the grill and brush the grate with oil. Place the burgers on it and grill them on both sides; for medium done this takes 8–10 minutes in total on a covered grill, on an open grill leave them for 13–15 minutes. While cooking, brush them with the jam sauce and turn them. Finally, grill the pineapple slices for about a minute on each side.
