Arrange the thicker pork slices side by side in a roasting tin, season with salt and pepper, then layer about a centimetre of onion sliced into rings and a second centimetre layer of grated Edam on top. Put a piece of butter on each slice, sprinkle lightly with paprika, pour over stock made from Masox and leave to bake for an hour. The result is juicy meat with a cheesy onion topping, perfect with chips or potatoes.
