Pretzels are delicious on their own, but if you happen to buy too many, don't throw them away—turn them into excellent boiled dumplings instead. Chef Roman Paulus has a great recipe for pretzel dumplings that anyone can master. Besides pretzels soaked in milk, you'll need a few other ingredients, including parsley and shallots sautéed in butter. You can cook the dumplings in cling film over steam, or wrapped in cling film and foil in boiling water, and they go beautifully with your favourite meat as an ideal side dish for game.
